The 7th Annual Law Firm General Counsels’ Forum: Managing Risks in a New Paradigm on November 19-20, 2008, in New York City is the premier national conference aimed at helping firms lower their risk exposure. The 2008 forum, for the second straight year, joins together two highly successful annual conferences: Hildebrandt’s Law Firm General Counsels’ Forum and Hinshaw & Culbertson’s Professional Responsibility and Risk Management Conference.
In the tradition of these two great forums, this year’s conference will address key risk management issues facing law firms including:
- Best practices in preparing engagement letters
- Challenges of multi-jurisdictional practice
- Risks arising from litigating matters in which the same firm served as transactional lawyers
- Risks related to the new ESI discovery rules
- HR risks arising from lawyer impairment, lateral movement, “de-equitization,” etc.
- Conflicts between lawyers and auditors
We are very pleased that the keynote speaker to address the new electronic discovery rules will be:
The Honorable Paul Grimm;
Chief Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland
We will feature leading law firm general counsels, consultants, academic experts, and legal risk experts as speakers.
Plan to join us for this authoritative program on how firms should manage their risks in today’s dynamic business environment. |
